Sewian (Vermicelli)

Ingredients

2 cup Sewian (vermicelli)
3 1/2 cup Milk
3/4 cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Rose water (or 6-8 small cardamom seeds)
Ghee

Procedure

  1. Fry the sewian in hot oil until golden brown. Heat the milk to boilingand add the sewian.
  2. Cook until the milk is reduced by half.
  3. Add sugarand cook on low heat until creamy (about 25 minutes).
  4. Remove from the heat. Add in rose water.
  5. Decorate with blanched finely shreddedalmonds and pistachio nuts and silver leaves if desired.
