Suji Halva (Semolina Halva)

Ingredients

1/2 cup Suji (semolina)
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Ghee
1 1/2 cup Water
1 oz Sliced almonds
1 oz Raisins
8 Green cardamoms

Procedure

  1. Boil sugar and water together for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee add suji andstir on low heat until mixture becomes light creamy in color and gheeleaves the side of the pan.
  3. Add the syrup and stir briskly until it isabsorbed in the semolina.
  4. Mix in crushed cardamom seeds, almonds, andraisins.
  5. Serve hot.
