Avon's Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb ground meat (beef; pork, sausage or any comb
1 can (10-oz) onion soup
1 can (10-oz) chicken broth
3/4 cup raw rice
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup onion; chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper; chopped
1/2 cup celery; chopped
1 small amount of oil
1 salt & pepper to taste
1 bread or cracker crumbs

Procedure

Saut meat in a little oil until pink disappears. Grease casserole; put in meat. Saut onions, bell peppers and celery. Mix uncooked rice and other ingredients together and place in casserole; cover. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 45 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with bread or cracker crumbs and bake until lightly brown, about 20 ninutes. Serves 8 to 10.
