Ingredients
Oil - 2 tbsp
Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
Ginger & green chilli paste - 1 tbsp
Chopped vegetables - 1 cup
Salt - to taste
Powdered red chilli - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Grated boiled potatoes - 1 cup
Bread crumbs - 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
For filling:
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 10-15
Chopped green chilli - 1 tsp
Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Hung curd - 2 tbsp
Other ingredients:
Maida batter - 1 cup
Bread crumbs - 2 cup
Oil - for frying
Procedure
1. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic & ginger chilli paste and roast.
2. Add finely chopped vegetables, salt, chilli & turmeric powder and saute. -
3. Now add mashed & boiled potatoes, bread crumbs, coriander leaves and mix well.
4. To prepare the filling heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and roast.
5. Add this masala to a mixture of grated coconut and yoghurt. Filling is ready.
6. Make balls of vegetables & potato mixture and stuff the filling.
7. Dip these balls in maida batter. Coat with bread crumbs.
8. Give them shape of heart and deep fry.
9. Golden hearts are ready to serve.
